The aim of the Fellowship Team is to provide and increase opportunities for people to get together socially in a relaxed atmosphere and what better way to do this than over a meal or cup of tea.

Our ‘after Sunday Worship’ teas are now well established and for many folks is an opportunity to catch up with those they might not see during the week.

At some family services we also provide a snack lunch - usually well attended and much appreciated (you might even get a doggy bag if there are any sandwiches left!)

At Christmas the team pulls out all the stops to provide a special festive snack lunch and also arranges for a V.I.P guest to interrupt his busy schedule to come and say hello to the children (of all ages!)

For the last three years, at the end of June the team has also held a barbecue. Unfortunately we only managed ‘al fresco’ once but the rain failed to dampen our spirits or our enthusiasm and the barbeque went ahead in the St. Modan’s Hall (no doggy bags - not a sausage left!)

There is no doubt that these occasions enrich the life of our congregation and the lives of individual members - bringing people together cementing friendships and encouraging fellowship in a very basic and natural way - the sharing of food and drink.

Over the months (even years) to come we hope there will be many more such opportunities for fellowship in the on-going fund raising activities which are being planned to raise money for the refurbishment of our church.

If you are interested in joining the fellowship team (even on an occasional basis) we’d be delighted to welcome you. No qualifications necessary - except the ability to make a good cup of tea!
