Two Guild groups The Hallglen Guild meets fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon at 2.00 pm. The meetings normally start on the last week September and continue till the end of November. There is a Christmas lunch in December and the meetings start again in the middle of January and end with the AGM at the beginning of April. For information contact the Secretary: Mrs Morag Kennedy, 634414 Women Together - so-called because it was originally an amalgamation of the former Guild and Young Women’s Group, meets in the Church Lounge every Wednesday afternoon at 13.45 in October and November, February and March. For information contact: Christine Tait 713746, Norah Summers 625284, or Fiona Scott 632387. ![]() WORSHIP PRAYER ACTION The organisation was founded as the WOMAN’S GUILD in 1887 by Dr Archibald Charteris, not to give the women of the Church something to do, but to recognize the enormous amount of work they were already doing. The name was changed in the 1990s, to reflect our more inclusive age, and men are very welcome to attend and become members. Visit the Guild website for more information. |
