Welcome Team Duties The Welcome Team consists of 6 people whose duty it is to welcome members of the congregation and visitors to Falkirk Old & St Modan’s Parish Church each Sunday morning. Their role is an important one as this the first impression a visitor has of the church upon enter the front door and if the welcome is warm and friendly then this can be a lasting impression which will encourage them to attend Falkirk Old & St Modan’s Parish Church again and hopefully in time discuss with the minister the possibility of joining the church and becoming regular attendees and members of the congregation. The duties of the team entail welcoming those attending Falkirk Old & St Modan’s Parish Church and ensuring each person receives an Order of Service and the Monthly News Letter when it becomes available at the beginning of each month. The team leader for day and 3 other members of the team assist with the collection count after each service and ensure after the count has been completed that it is deposited safely with the church bank. The Welcoming Team duty is not an onerous one but an enjoyable one in welcoming those wishing to attend Falkirk Old & St Modan’s Parish Church for Sunday Morning worship. On occasion it may be necessary to open the side and centre doors and to assist some members of the congregation to their seat if called upon to do so but in the main the Welcoming Team Duty is to welcoming those attending Sunday Morning worship and distribute and the Orders of Service and Monthly Church Newsletter and assist with the collection count after Morning Worship. |
